Diagnosing authorization issues

Authorization problems are typically caused by group name mismatches, omissions, or both.

You can use the Operations and Administration Console (OAC) to diagnose authorization issues by accessing a page that provides the following information.
  • User name
  • User groups, which are based on a user repository lookup.
  • An indicator of which user groups can be matched to metadata in the FTM database.
  • A list of all resource, permission, and application IDs that can be matched.
The data on the authorization page can also be used to confirm that the application ID is correct.
Users have access to their own data only. The authorization page can be accessed by all logged in users by using a direct URL:
