Managing Workflow Descriptor Structures

Each workflow descriptor has a unique name field that identifies the descriptor. The description field is optional and is not used in the actual XML created; however, this information in this field can be stored in the database for future reference.

User exit classes is a type of element that identifies user-defined objects. These elements can be managed using:
  • Connections
  • Nodes
  • Assignments
  • Responses
Each connection and each assignment can also have one or more filter sub-elements. Each response can also have one or more responseFields sub-elements. Each element can be created by clicking add new in its element table. Each element also has an expand and collapse link. If expand is clicked, the application expands and displays the available objects for the selected element. If collapse is clicked, all such objects are hidden from the view. Attributes that have an asterisk (*) indicator are required fields.
Note: For details about each element and its attribute definitions, see Business Rules Descriptors.
