Importing and Exporting Descriptors

Regardless of the complement type, the descriptor screens (such as the create workflow descriptor screen) contain an import and an export link at the top right side of the screen.

To create a descriptor based on an existing XML, click import. This link displays only if the user is authorized to create or edit descriptors.

The import descriptor screen is displayed after clicking import.

To review the possible output of the XML before activating the release, click export.

View the XML in a browser or to save the XML file on any external storage for later use.

Note: This process is only for review purposes. Exported XML files are not used in the release activation process. Only XMLs that are saved through the console can be used in the activation process.
