Installing the FTM Model Tools package

The FTM model tools package has the following prerequisites:

Rational® Software Architect (RSA)

To use the BIRT report function to generate FTM model reports, make sure that the following RSA features are installed under the Architecture reporting category:

• Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT)
• Architecture reporting (UML) with BIRT

Use the Modify Packages function of IBM® Installation Manager to check for these RSA features and update them if necessary.

RSA requires license activation. For more information, see Rational license activation kits.

The FTM Model Tools Package installation repository

Extract the installation repository from the FXH_FSM_Model_Tools.zip file. The files that you need are provided in the FTM artifacts pod and must be downloaded from the pod. IBM Installation Manager

IBM Installation Manager is installed automatically during the RSA installation.
