Report Format

The reports are generated using a file format compatible with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. The reports are returned to the browser using MIME type of application/vnd.ms-excel. The browser offers the choice of opening the file or saving it to a local file system. Open it by choosing an application such as Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice, which can process the file format. The file can also be saved to a local file system in a file with the file extension XLS.
