Copy Release page
The copy release page copies the business rules from the release to an environment that you select from the
list of environments that is displayed.
| Field or column name | Default edit mode | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Environment | N | Defaults to the currently selected environment name. |
| Release Name | Y | Release name, up to 80 bytes. |
| Rules Origination | N | Defaults to the initial page. |
| State | N | The state of the release that is being copied. |
| Last State Updated Timestamp | N | Timestamp when the release state was last updated. |
| Last Rule Updated Timestamp | N | Timestamp when the business rules were last updated. |
| Selection control | Y | This column is used to select the environment from the list. |
| Name | N | This column is the name of the environment that is available to be copied. |
| Description | N | This column is the description of the environment. |
| Promotion Order | N | This column is the promotion order of the environment. |
The Last State Updated Timestamp and Last Rule Updated Timestamp fields display extra information when you hover the mouse pointer over them. For example, if the information exists, the last updated user ID and the Business Rules table name are displayed.
When a release is copied, its initial state is set to Copying and the state is displayed on the page. After
the copy function completes, the state of the release is set to Locked if the copy succeeded and to Copy
Failed if it failed. Because copying the release is done asynchronously, the page does not automatically
update to show the new state of the release. To show the status of the copy function, use the navigation tree
to redisplay the manage releases page.
Note: Do not use the F5 key or the browser refresh option to update the
status of the copy release function. Using the F5 key or the refresh option submits another copy release
request, which results in a second copy of the release.
