Effective Dating

Workflows and tables distributed to the Business Rules Server replace the previous set of files stored in the user data directory. Clients currently connected continue to use the tables loaded when the initialize message was issued. New clients will use the newly deployed tables.

Effective dating provides the option to allow workflows and tables for different business days to coexist in the Business Rules Server for use by client applications. The client applications supply the business date and the appropriate effective dated workflow and tables are loaded. This allows tables to be deployed one day and used on another.
