Test 2 - Watson Memory Allocation

The Watson memory allocation routines were developed to help improve throughput when many memory allocations and deallocations are being performed. To test the Watson memory allocation routines, add the following line to the igwyenv.sh file before the any Java™ programs are started for Gateway.

MALLOCTYPE=watson      export MALLOCTYPE

After making the change, restart Gateway and run the same reference cash letter. Make a note of the elapsed time for processing the cash letter.
