Creating client specific users and groups

The system administrator creates groups and assigns permissions and users to them based on business needs. For example, a decision may be made to limit Amount Keying operators to using only the operator repair functionality of Amount Keying. To implement this policy, the system administrator:
  • Creates a group named amount keying operators in Control Center
  • Assigns operator keying permissions to the amount keying operators group
  • Adds the user IDs of the Amount Keying operators to the amount keying operators group
When the Amount Keying operator logs in to the Control Center, only the menu options that navigate to the operator keying pages are displayed. No other menu options are shown to this operator because only the operator rekey permission is available.

Similar policies can be implemented by defining additional groups and assigning permissions and users to them.
