Create, view, or edit item mapping page
The item mapping page displays the fields that are used to create, view, or update an item mapping. For existing item mappings, the name of the item mapping is shown in the title of the page.
This page has the following fields. Required fields are indicated with an asterisk.
- Name *
- Enter a unique name for the item mapping. This field is read-only when the page is in view mode.
- Message Standard *
- The message standard for the item mapping. Select the message standard from the list. It cannot be changed after the item mapping is created. This field is read-only when the page is in view mode.
- Type *
- The type of the item mapping, which is either assign or restrict. Select the type from the list. It cannot be changed after the item mapping is created. This field is read-only when the page is in view mode.
- Mapping configuration *
- This field contains the list of mapping configurations that are part of this item mapping. This field is read-only when the page is in view mode. It is the bottom part of the page.
Columns
The columns that are available on the mapping configuration part of this page are shown in the following
table.
| Column name or function | Description |

| Selection control | The first column is used to select one or more mapping configurations from the list. Clicking the table header selects all of the mapping configurations in the list. |
| Message type | The message type of the transmissions that this mapping configuration applies to. Only the message types that belong to the message standard for the item mapping are available to use for this mapping configuration. |
| Forward / return | Indicates whether this mapping configuration applies to forward, return, or all transmissions. |
| Commercial / government | Indicates whether this mapping configuration applies to commercial, government, or all transmissions. |
| Settlement day | The settlement day for the transmissions that this mapping configuration applies to. |
| Transaction types | The type of the transactions, such as debit or credit, that this mapping configuration applies to. |
| Error code | The error code that is used when the restriction for this mapping configuration is violated while originating or receiving transactions. When the item mapping has a type of assign, this column is not shown by default. |
Actions
The actions that are available on this page are shown in the following list.
- Filter column displays the build filter link that you can use to create a filter for the columns on the page.
- Create displays the Create Item Mapping dialog box.
- Search entry field. Typing text in this field automatically filters the item mappings that are displayed in the table. The table displays only those item mappings that match what was typed in the search field.
- Refresh updates the displayed item mappings.
- Download CSV saves the displayed table view as a .csv file.
- Customize columns displays a page to select which columns are shown or hidden on the item mappings page.
- Row settings configures the size and the spacing of the text that is displayed in the cells of the table.
- Open documentation opens the help page.
- Click a row in the table to display the details for that record.
- A menu appears in the table header when you select one or more rows in the table.
- Select all selects all the rows in the table.
- Delete deletes the selected item mapping.
- Cancel closes the menu in the table header.
