Create File Suffix page
The Create file suffix page allows a user to define the file suffix. To navigate to this page, click the Create button from the upper right corner of the manage file suffix page.
File Suffix Fields
The Create file suffix page has the following fields:
Note: Required fields are indicated with an
asterisk.
- File Extension *
- Extension of the file. This is a read only field.
- Transmission Type
- List of all defined transmission types in the system. Select a transmission type from the list displayed.
- Description *
- Description of the file extension
- File Reader Class *
- Full class name of the file reader class
- Provider
- The provider is customer when the customer adds the file suffix. This is a read only field.
- Incoming EOF Required *
- Indicates if the incoming end of transmission is required. Incoming EOF is a trigger that indicates that the data transmission is ready to be processed because the last transmission in the file set was received. If set to yes, the EOF is always the last file to be processed and the DAT file can be processed at any time. If set to no, the DAT file is the last transmission processed. The Gateway Server must be restarted when this field is changed.
Actions
The actions available on this page are:
- Open documentation displays the help page.
- Save button saves the file suffix and returns to the manage file suffix page.
- Cancel button returns to the manage file suffix page. All unsaved changes are lost.
