Connectivity

This view shows details about the basic runtime connectivity to necessary databases and WebSphere® services.

The view shows the connections that are needed by the Distribution engine for processing outgoing transmissions. If a specific connection is not active and operational, its entry in the connectivity view appears red with a status of unavailable.

The following information is shown for each entry.
Name
Name of the product or service to which connections are being verified.
Status
The connectivity status. Valid values are active or unavailable. If a product is not available, the entry is highlighted in the view.

Name Description
Database (User Interface) The status of the connectivity between the Distribution user interface and the FTM database.
Database (Engine) The status of the connectivity between the Distribution engine and the FTM database.
Scheduler The status of the connectivity to the WebSphere scheduler services. The WebSphere scheduler is used for the automation of cutoff processing for transmissions and for missed deadline notifications.
