Configuration data
All FTM applications use static configuration data that employs the following types
of records:
- Formats
- Mappers
- Involved parties
- Channels
- Classification items
- Configuration values
- Services
- Service participants
- Scheduler tasks
- Authorizations
Each of these record types, except authorizations, can be designed and modeled in Rational® tools by using the FTM model tools. In addition, they can also be maintained by using the FTM Operations and Administration Console. It is recommended that any change that is made by using the console is reflected back into the model as the single, original copy.
When you create a new database for FTM, do the following steps:
- Run the FTM database creation scripts that are provided in the FTM distribution.
- Run the FSM script that is generated from the FSM extractor plug-in in Rational Software Architect.
- Run the application static data script that is generated from the FSM extractor plug-in in Rational Software Architect.
