Accumulator groups

When you define accumulators, you can group individual accumulators into groups for balancing, monitoring, reporting, and extract purposes.

Note: An individual accumulator can be included in several accumulator groups.
When you define an accumulator group, configure the following mandatory fields.
  • Identifier
  • Name
  • List of accumulators in the group
  • Extract
  • Compare support
  • Intraday

A sample accumulator group definition is shown in the following table.

During processing, the count of transactions and the dollar value of the transactions are added to individual accumulators. The accumulator groups show a summary of the accumulators within that group. Settlement always maintains unique accumulator groups by business day, bank number, and batch (ICL). The business day and bank number are standard within Settlement for separating the processing of concurrent work. The batch identifier is used to facilitate balancing, reporting, and extracting by participant, image cash letter file, or batch (ICL). The following table shows an example of the accumulator groups for business days and bank numbers.
