Error Codes page

The error codes page displays all of the available error codes.

Columns

The columns that are available on the page are shown in the following table.

Column name Description
Selection control The first column is used to select one or more error codes from the list. Selecting the box in the table header selects all of the error codes in the list.
Error Code The ID of the error code.
Reject The action to take when this error code is assigned to a validation result. Valid actions are:
Informational
When this error occurs, additional information is assigned to the error code. Nothing is rejected.
Warning
When this error occurs, assign a warning to the error code and do not reject anything.
Transaction
When this error occurs, reject the transaction.
Segment
When this error occurs, reject the bundle or segment.
Batch / ICL
When this error occurs, reject the batch (ICL).
Transmission
When this error occurs, reject the transmission.
Suspend Batch / ICL
When this error occurs, suspend the batch (ICL).
Suspend Transmission
When this error occurs, suspend the transmission.
Override Indicates whether this error code can be overridden.
Notification Indicates whether the error number is included in any notification messages.
Description A description of this error code.
Category The category that this error code is associated to.
Priority The priority level of this error code. If a unit of work (UOW) has multiple errors, the primary error code to use is determined by using the priority levels of the multiple error codes.
Threshold Indicates whether this error code is included in the error threshold counts.
Revalidate Indicates whether this error code is included in the validation results that are returned by revalidation.
Detailed Description A detailed description of this error code that also includes the variables that are referenced.

Actions

The actions that are available on the page are shown in the following list.
  • Help, which opens the help page. This link is located in the upper right of the page.
  • Add, which looks like a plus sign, displays the add error code page to add an error code.
  • Edit, which looks like a pencil, displays the edit error code page to edit the selected error code.
  • Delete, which looks like an X, deletes the selected error codes. If an error code is used elsewhere, it cannot be deleted.
  • Copy, which looks like sheets of paper, displays the copy error code page to copy the selected error code and then edit it.
  • Refresh, which looks like a circular arrow, redisplays the list of records to show any new records and the updates that were made to existing records.
  • More > Apply (Session Only) menu option is used to keep the current page preferences for your entire user session.
  • More > Save Layout menu option saves any changes that are made to the column layout.
  • More > Restore Defaults menu option restores the page to its default column layout.
  • More > Show/Hide Columns menu option displays a page to select which columns are shown or hidden in the column layout.
