Create keyboard mapping page

The fields that are available on the page are shown in the following list. Required fields are indicated with an asterisk.

Application *

The name of the component that this key mapping is used for. Select a name from the list.

Mapping name *

Key mapping name. The mapping name must be unique and can be up to 60 characters.

Target page *

Target page name for which the key map is defined. Select the target page from the list.

Page functions *

List of page functions available for the target page selected. To define a key sequence, select a function from the list.

Modifier keys

Alternate (Alt), control (Ctrl), or shift (Shift) keys. At least one modifier is needed for mapping letter and number keys. Select one or more modifiers for this key sequence.

Note: Function and special keys do not require a modifier.

Keys *

List of keys. Select the key for this key sequence.

Mapped Keys

Lists the key sequences that are defined for the target page.

The actions that are available on the page are shown in the following list.

• Add to mapped keys adds the newly defined key sequence to the mapped keys list.
• Update selected mapped key is used to update only the fill values for the selected key sequence.
• Remove from mapped keys removes the selected key sequence from the mapped keys list.
• Open documentation opens the help page.
• Filter column displays the build filter link that you can use to create a filter for the columns on the page.
• Search entry field. Typing text in this field automatically filters the records that are displayed in the table. The table displays only those records that match what was typed in the search field.
• Refresh redisplays the list of records to show any new records and the updates that are made to existing records.
• Download CSV saves the displayed table view as a .csv file.
• Show more text in table cells (up to 50 lines) shows up to 50 lines of text in a single table cell. The default is to show 5 lines. You can set the table view to either 50 lines or 5 lines at a time.
• Show less text in table cells for easier reading (up to 5 lines) shows a maximum of 5 lines of text in a single table cell. You can set the table view to either 50 lines or 5 lines at a time.
• Customize columns displays a page to select which columns are shown or hidden on the page.
• Row settings configures the size and the spacing of the text that is displayed in the cells of the table.
• Save saves the hot key mapping and returns to the hot key mappings page.
• Close returns to the hot key mappings page. Any unsaved changes are lost.
