Add Error Code page
Use the add error code page to add an error code. You can access it by selecting the add action on the error codes page.
Add Error Code fields
The page has the fields that are shown in the following list. Required fields are indicated with an asterisk.
- Error Code *
- Unique alphanumeric ID of the error code. The first character of the error code must be either a numeric value or the letters T - Z.
- Description *
- Description of the error code. It is used in feedback messages and cannot be longer than 64 characters.
- Reject Level *
- Use the list to select what happens when this error code is assigned to a validation result.
- Override
- Indicate whether the error code can be overridden. The default is No.
- Acknowledgment
- Indicate whether the error number is included in any acknowledgment messages. The default is Yes.
- Threshold
- Indicate whether the error code is included in the error threshold counts. The default is Yes.
- Revalidate
- Indicate whether this error code is included in the validation results that are returned by revalidation. The default is No.
- Category Name *
- Select a category to associate the error code to.
- Priority *
- Select the priority level for the error code. Valid values are -32768 to 32767.
- Detailed Description
- A string to use as a detailed description for the error code. The string can include variable substitutions.
Actions
The actions that are available on the page are shown in the following list.
- Help, which opens the help page. This link is in the upper right corner of the page.
- Save, which saves the error code and returns to the error codes page.
- Cancel, which returns to the error codes page. All unsaved changes are lost.
