Process Work Request
The Transaction Server scheduler is configured by default to notify the Exceptions & Investigation engine whenever a batch or payment is available to process. When a batch or payment reaches the specified state(s), Transaction Server sends a presentment or payment has errors message to the WebSphere® MQ queue on which the Exceptions & Investigation engine is configured to listen.
The scheduler notifies the Exceptions & Investigation engine when a batch or payment contains
errors. The Exceptions & Investigation engine checks to see if there are any repairable payments in
the batch and, if there are, the engine ingests the work for operator action. If there are no
repairable payments, the engine sets the batch to the REMEDIATED state. When a
response is required, the engine sends a notification to Transaction Server by posting
messages to the queue on which the Transaction Server listens.
