Settlement Cutoff Days page
Settlement cutoff days records are used by Business Rules Server to determine the processing or
distribution business date to assign to a transaction. This configuration record:
- Optionally defines the settlement window relative to the requested settlement date. It begins on the preferred distribution date and ends on the last date that distribution can occur without affecting the settlement date.
- Allows the user to define an error code to assign to transactions with settlement dates that were moved because the transaction was received too late to be processed within the current settlement window. Error codes for credit and debit transactions are configured separately.
Settlement cutoff days records are identified by name and are referenced from message standard, message
type, and endpoint definitions. When the settlement cutoff days record is referenced in more than one of these
definitions, the record used is the one referenced in the first definition found. The definitions are used in
the following order:
- endpoint definition
- message type definition
- message standard definition
The settlement cutoff days page displays a list of the settlement cutoff days records defined.
Columns
The columns that are available on the page are shown in the following table.

| Selection control | The first column is used to select one or more settlement cutoff days records from the list. Selecting the box in the table header selects all of the settlement cutoff days records in the list. |
| Name | Unique name that identifies this settlement cutoff days record. |
| Description | Describes the purpose for this settlement cutoff days record. |
| Preferred Days to Distribute Prior to Settlement Date | The preferred number of days prior to the settlement date on which to distribute the credit and debit transactions. |
| Latest Days to Distribute Without Changing Settlement Date | The fewest number of days prior to the settlement date that credit and debit transactions can be distributed without needing to change the settlement date. |
| Error Code if Settlement Date Changes | Error code used if the settlement date for a credit or debit transaction was changed. |
Actions
The actions that are available on the page are shown in the following list.
- Open documentation opens the help page.
- Filter column displays the build filter link that you can use to create a filter for the columns on the page.
- Search entry field. Typing text in this field automatically filters the records that are displayed in the table. The table displays only those records that match what was typed in the search field.
- Refresh redisplays the list of records to show any new records and the updates that are made to existing records.
- Download CSV saves the displayed table view as a .csv file.
- Show more text in table cells (up to 50 lines) shows up to 50 lines of text in a single table cell. The default is to show 5 lines. You can set the table view to either 50 lines or 5 lines at a time.
- Show less text in table cells for easier reading (up to 5 lines) shows a maximum of 5 lines of text in a single table cell. You can set the table view to either 50 lines or 5 lines at a time.
- Customize columns displays a page to select which columns are shown or hidden on the page.
- Row settings configures the size and the spacing of the text that is displayed in the cells of the table.
- Click a row in the table to display the details for that record.
- A menu appears in the table header when you select one or more rows in the table.
- Create displays the modal to add a settlement cutoff days record.
- Select all selects all the rows in the table.
- Delete deletes the selected record.
- saves the displayed table view as a .csv file.
- Cancel closes the menu in the table header.
