Properties Screens

The user interface system can be customized to fit business needs. Customization is performed by altering properties in the user interface.

During installation, a default set of values is assigned to the properties. When changes are made and saved, the alterations take effect immediately. Restarting Transaction Server is not necessary. Users must belong to the Transaction Server UI Administrator group to access the properties screens. To edit properties, switch to edit mode and make the necessary changes.

The properties required by the Transaction Server user interface runtime are automatically assigned the default value. When a property has a customized value, it takes precedence over the default value. Properties that are not required for the runtime have an empty or zero default value.

Some properties require validation to ensure the custom values are correct. Validation is performed when changes are saved. If a property value is invalid, the user interface flags the value and displays an error message.

Each properties screen displays a table of the properties for a specific category. Table 1 shows the column headings used by the properties screens.
