Platform components page

The platform components page shows a list of the server instances and associated actions for each Java™ Platform, Standard Edition application that is installed.

Columns

The columns that are available on the page are shown in the following table.

Column name Description
Component Name Name of the product component, such as Gateway Server or Transaction Server
Server Name Some applications can have multiple instances that are running on the same host. An instance name helps to identify them.
Host Name Name of the host. This column is shown only if the user has the proper permissions.
Machine Address Location of the application run time. It is the IP address or the registered name of the server. This column is shown only if the user has the proper permissions.
Socket Port Number Socket port number where the application is running. This column is shown only if the user has the proper permissions.
Rmi Port Number RMI port number where the application is running. This column is shown only if the user has the proper permissions.
Status Indicates whether the application is
  • Online
  • Offline

Actions

The actions that are available on the page are shown in the following list.
  • Open documentation opens the help page.
  • Filter column displays the build filter link that you can use to create a filter for the columns on the page.
  • Search entry field. Typing text in this field automatically filters the servers that are displayed in the table. The table displays only those servers that match what was typed in the search field.
  • Refresh redisplays the list of records to show any new records and the updates that are made to existing records.
  • Download CSV saves the displayed table view as a .csv file.
  • Customize columns displays a page to select which columns are shown or hidden on the page.
  • Row settings configures the size and the spacing of the text that is displayed in the cells of the table.
To manage servers, do the following steps.
  1. Select the correct server from the list.
  2. Click the Options menu to view the dynamic actions.
  3. Click the options for the actions to be done.
The menu actions require permissions.
The actions for Gateway Server are shown in the following list.
  • Diagnostic Commands goes to the execute diagnostic command page that is used to run the commands. This action is displayed if the user has permissions to run diagnostic commands.
  • Pause pauses the Gateway Server. This action is displayed if the server is running and the user has permissions to pause the server.
  • Resume resumes the Gateway Server. This action is displayed if the server is paused and the user has permissions to resume the server.
  • Delete deletes the Gateway Server record.
The actions for Transaction Server are shown in the following list.
  • Ping legacy check system verifies that the CPCS host is running. This action is displayed if the server is running and the user has permissions to stop the server. This action is available only for Check.
  • Diagnostic Commands goes to the execute diagnostic command page that is used to run the commands. This action is displayed if the user has permissions to run diagnostic commands.
  • Delete deletes the Transaction Server record.
The actions for Business Rules Server are shown in the following list.
  • Diagnostic Commands goes to the execute diagnostic command page that is used to run the commands. This action is displayed if the user has permissions to run diagnostic commands.
  • Delete deletes the Business Rules Server record.
The actions for Business Rules Manager are shown in the following list.
  • Diagnostic Commands goes to the execute diagnostic command page that is used to run the commands. This action is displayed if the user has permissions to run diagnostic commands.
  • Delete deletes the Business Rules Manager record.

The delete action requires permissions. The delete is not a permanent removal of data. The row is temporarily removed from the view. During a subsequent restart of the server, the row appears in the view.
