Participant directory preference tree
The pane on the left side of the participant - participant ID page displays a list, in a hierarchy structure, of the preferences that are available for the participant. The specific preferences that are available for a participant are determined by the roles that are assigned to that participant.
The list indicates which preferences have configuration data by showing a green check mark inside of a circle next to the name of the preference. Preferences that have configuration errors have a red X inside of a circle displayed next to the name of the preference.
A subset of the preferences is called operational configuration preferences. Operational preferences are preferences that can change often, such as by being updated by a customer that is using the web service APIs, and do not cause the participant version to change. Therefore, the operational preferences are the same for all versions of the participant. A watch is displayed next to the name of the preferences that are operational preferences.
