Outbound Product Fields for Billing

The outbound product pages are used to create, edit, or view an outbound product and associate available outbound services for use with that product.

Use the add product link in the upper right corner of the manage outbound products page to display the add pages. The view and edit pages are displayed using the view details icon to the left of the product. For more information about the outbound product pages, see Manage Outbound Products Page.

The following sections describe the fields that are specific for Billing.

Fields (Step 1 of 2)

The fields are only visible if Billing is installed and the user has the appropriate permissions:
Note: Fields indicated with an asterisk are required.
Billing Related
This section contains the following fields:
Service Area
The category associated with the billing for this outbound product. This is a four digit, user defined field.
Enable Billing
Determines if billing entries should be generated for the outbound product
Note: If this is set to no, the rest of the fields in the Billing Related section cannot be changed.
Daily Billing Code
The daily billing code to be associated with this outbound product. This billing code is used once per day. If this billing code is not specified, there is no daily fixed fee for this outbound product. It is a five digit, user defined field.
Transmission Billing Code
The transmission billing code to be associated with this outbound product. This billing code is used once per transmission. If this billing code is not specified, there is no transmission fixed fee for this outbound product. It is a five digit, user defined field.
Batch / ICL Billing Code
The batch (ICL) billing code to be associated with this outbound product. This billing code is used once per batch (ICL). If this billing code is not specified, there is no batch (ICL) fixed fee for this outbound product. It is a five digit, user defined field.
Tiered Product Indicator
Indicates whether this outbound product uses tier based or non-tier (single rate) based billing
Non Tiered Billing Code
The transaction billing code associated with this outbound product. If the tiered product indicator is set to no, this billing code is used for all of the transactions. This billing code is used once per day. It is a five digit, user defined field.
