Amount keying page

The amount keying page allows the an operator to verify the amount for transactions that are in an out of balance entity, such as a batch. The operator uses the image views and MICR data that is displayed on this page to determine whether the amount for a transaction needs to be changed and, if so, what its new amount should be. This page supports hot key mappings.

Fields

The fields on this page are grouped into sections:
Image display
When a transaction is selected for keying, its front grayscale image view is initially displayed. If the front grayscale image view is not available, the front black and white image is displayed. The user can change which image view is displayed. The image views available to the user are configured by using the Amount Keying front and rear view properties. If neither of these properties are configured, all of the image views associated with the transaction are available to the user.
Note: To load images into the browser more quickly, consider using the front and rear view properties to limit the number of image views required.
MICR fields
This section is located beneath the image display section and has the following fields. All of the fields are read-only except for the amount field. Pressing the enter key after keying the amount, is the same as using the approve button.
Aux On Us
The auxiliary on us field for the transaction.
EPC
The EPC field for the transaction.
Routing Number
The routing number field for the transaction.
Field 4

Account

Process Control

Amount

Pending Items(Count = x, Max = y)
Displays a list the of the pending transactions, in order. The heading for the list shows the current number of transactions pending, x, and the value configured as the maximum number of pending transactions, y. For each pending transaction, its payment ID and disposition are shown. The dispositions are:
KEY
A valid amount was keyed for the transaction.
Status information area
This text area at the bottom of the page shows the name of the unit of work that the transaction belongs to. In addition, it displays the following types of status information:
  • The payment ID of the transaction being keyed. It is the unique identification number of the transaction and is displayed while the transaction is being keyed. When the transaction is processed, the next transaction appears and the new ID is shown.
  • While additional transactions are available, a new transaction is displayed on the page after the previous transaction completes. If no further transactions remain, the following status message is displayed: There are no more items to be keyed at this time. You can check later to see if more items are available.
  • Any keyed data is submitted to the same validation processing that detected the original error. If the new amount causes an error, the following status message is displayed: Your change was not accepted. Fields that still have errors are highlighted. If the correct amount causes a validation error, skip the transaction. The other fields for the transaction need to be corrected using Transaction Correction and Reconciliation.
  • If the lock on a transaction is lost, any amount keying actions are not accepted for that transaction and the following status message is displayed: Your change was not accepted. The system could not complete processing for payment xxxxx because it was not locked to your user ID.
  • All error codes and messages for the transaction.
