Alert Suppression page

The alert suppression page displays the alerts that are suppressed. No alerts are generated for any suppressed alert.

Columns

The columns that are available on the page are shown in the following table.

Column name or function Description
Selection control The first column on the page is used to select one or more alerts from the list. Selecting the check box in the table header selects all of the alerts in the list.
Down arrow Runs an action on all of the alerts that are selected from the list. The actions that are available are shown in the following list:
  • Activate
Component Name of the component to which the alert belongs. This name is the component or feature that is installed and registered on the server.
Component Type Type of the component. For more information about filtering by component types, see Component Types.
Message ID Message identification number. The last letter in the ID is the severity of the message.
Sample Message Description of the message.
Suppressed By The user ID of the operator who suppressed the alert.

Actions

The actions that are available on the page are shown in the following list.
  • Help link opens the help page. This link is located in the upper right of the page.
  • Collapse Filter removes the filter options from view. This action is only available if the filter options are visible.
  • Expand Filter causes the filter options to be displayed. This action is only available if the filter options are not visible.
  • Components list is used to select the component filter options.
  • Component Types list is used to select the component type filter options.
  • Suppressed By field is used to enter a text value for filtering.
  • Message ID field is used to enter a text value for filtering.
  • Sample Message field is used to enter a text value for filtering.
  • Go applies the filtering to the selected alerts. If no alerts are selected, all values are filtered.
  • Pagination bar is used to navigate between the pages of alerts. The available options are shown in the following list:
    Beginning
    Displays the first page.
    Back 10 Pages
    Goes back 10 pages.
    Back 1 Page
    Goes back one page.
    Page number links
    Each available page is shown in this list. Each number is a link to that page.
    Forward 1 Page
    Goes forward one page.
    Forward 10 Pages
    Goes forward 10 pages.
    End
    Displays the last page.
  • Down arrow icon activates the selected alerts.
