About page

The about page displays the build level information for each installed component that has run at least once. To view the about page, the user must have the appropriate permissions. The permissions associated with this page are view the page, view sensitive data, and remove the instance from view. Administrators can add the required permissions for the user or group using the permissions page.

Columns

The columns on the about page are:

Component Name Displays the name of the component. A component must be installed and registered on the server.
Component Type The types are:
Engine
Runtime modules that run inside the WebSphere® Application Server, such as AutoAdjust or Services Framework
Server
Runtime modules that run outside the WebSphere Application Server, such as Business Rules or Transaction Server
User Interface
Web based interface used to manage applications, such as Control Center
User Interface (EJB)
Accesses repositories on behalf of the web based user interface, such as Transaction Server
Manager
Runtime modules that support the server components, such as Business Rules Manager
Task
Process that run inside Services Framework, such as notification tasks or extract tasks
Adapter
The components that are built as resource adapters that run in WebSphere, such as Image Compliance
Unknown
Legacy applications that were migrated to the new structure
External
External customer applications
Instance Name Unique name of the instance for components with a type of server. Server types provide the name of the running instance using the serverName property in the properties file for Gateway, Business Rules Server, and Transaction Server. For the Business Rules Manager, the instance name is provided using the managerName property. For all other component types, this field is empty.
Hostname Displays the name of the application host. This field requires permissions for viewing sensitive data.
Qualifier Displays the location of the application run time by identifying which Liberty node, server, or cluster the component runs in. The field requires permissions to view sensitive data.

Component Id The ID of the component.
Specification Version Displays the version of the runtime component. The build level provides a signature associated with a particular runtime component. The build level signature consists of the specification version and the implementation version.

Example: 3.0.0.1

Implementation Version Displays the data and time the runtime component was created

Actions

The actions available on this page are:
  • Delete record icon, which provides the ability to remove the component from the view. It is not a permanent removal of data. The row is temporarily removed. When the component is restarted or a different version of the component is deployed, the removal flag is reset and the row appears in the view. The remove action requires permissions.
