Running the Data Setup Utility for Common Services

The data setup utility (DSU) is used to help manage the configuration data for a Common Services installation.

The following topics contain specific information that you need to run the DSU to create a working system. The topics provide the following types of information.
  • Location of the sample workbooks and properties files.
  • Information that can help you establish an installation platform that is specific to your needs but can be updated in future releases. For example, the order that data must be imported or deleted in.

The files that you need are provided in the FTM artifacts pod and must be downloaded from the pod. For more information about getting files from the artifacts container for your offering, see Getting the files from the artifacts container for your FTM offering. In this DSU information, the artifacts_config_directory part of file and path names represents the configuration directory in the folder that you downloaded the file structure from the artifacts container to.

Becoming familiar with how the data setup utility works is recommended. For more information about the data setup utility, see Data setup Utility.
