Installing the sample dashboards

The dashboards are installed by using IBM® Cognos® Administration to import the deployment archive files for the dashboards into IBM Cognos Analytics.

The Common Services sample dashboards are provided in the following deployment archive files.
PFS_Dashboards.zip
This archive contains the following dashboards.
System management dashboard
This dashboard provides insights into key areas such as inbound and outbound volumes, returned transactions, alerts, and more. The data that is used by this dashboard is limited to the current business day only.
System management performance dashboard
This dashboard provides insights into key performance statistics, such as throughput and service latency, for real-time payments. The data that is used by this dashboard is limited to the data for the last 24 hours.
PFS_Trending_Dashboards.zip
This archive contains multiple dashboards that are used to analyze long-term trends. Each dashboard is specific to a single area of Common Services. These dashboards analyze all of the data that is available from the configured database connection.
The files that you need are provided in the FTM artifacts pod and must be downloaded from the pod. For more information about getting files from the artifacts container for your offering, see Getting the files from the artifacts container for your FTM offering.

When the dashboard archive files are deployed to the default location within Cognos, they are available in the Team Content folder on the main IBM Cognos Web Portal. For more information about installing the dashboards, see Importing a deployment archive in the IBM Cognos Analytics documentation.

After the deployment archive files for the dashboards are imported, more configuration is needed before the dashboards can be accessed. See Configuring the sample dashboards.
