Multiple roles of Business Rules Server

The Business Rules Server has the following multiple deployments. Each deployment serves a specific purpose.

The following diagram shows the various roles of the Business Rules Server in the FTM release. These four deployments are managed and scaled separately, wherever applicable.

The multiple roles of the Business Rules Server services that are shown in the diagram are described in the following list.
  •  1  - This Business Rules Server service is local to the Gateway Server pod for all operations. This Gateway Server uses the local Business Rules Server with one-to-one mapping.
  •  2  - This Business Rules Server service is local to the Gateway engine pod for all batch revalidation operations. This Gateway engine uses the local Business Rules Server with one-to-one mapping.
  •  3  - This Business Rules Server service is a dedicated single instance that is used by the Gateway engine pod for all the file revalidation operations.
  •  4  - This Business Rules Server service is scalable and is used by all the Java™ Platform, Enterprise Edition engines other than the Gateway engine for all the operations.
