A person or set of persons should be responsible for running the tests and collecting data. If planned correctly this need not be a specialized activity.
A technically skilled FTM resource should be assigned to analyze
results and give direction during the exercise. The performance of
an FTM application is very often dependant on database performance
so it is essential that a suitably skilled DBA with performance tuning
experience be available throughout. Depending on the application,
system and environment other expertise may also be required to troubleshoot
specific issues:
- Operating system specialist
- Storage specialist
- Infrastructure specialist
- HA specialist
