Preload ISN Services Framework task

The Transaction Server item sequence number (ISN) assignment can be done without data extraction.

This feature is provided by the preload ISN Services Framework task. This task provides the following methods of performing the ISN assignment:
  • Transaction server scheduler event
  • Services Framework Scheduler
  • Manual invocation

In order for the task to be used in any manner, it must be registered and configured as a Services Framework task.

In order for the task to be started by a Transaction Server event, an event stanza must be configured in theTransaction Server SchedulerReference.xml file. The file that is included with the product provides examples.

In order for the task to be started periodically by the Services Framework scheduler, a task schedule must be created and configured.

In order for the task to be started manually, the operator can use the FTM console to run the task manually.
