Gateway Server API
The Gateway Server supports the following Gateway Server APIs:
- Notification Messages
- XML message protocol is used to monitor the status of transmissions throughout processing. There are IBM® defined messages and, at various points in processing, user exits are invoked that create user-defined notification messages. Sample messages are provided to show how the various IBM-defined messages are written in XML.
- Handshake Messages
- The inbound handshake provides transactional communication between Common Services and its client for inbound transmissions. Before the client moves or copies the transmission to the Common Services source folder, the client sends a handshake request to the Gateway to inform the Gateway to expect the transmission. The client then moves or copies the file to Common Services.
- Remote Capture of Batch Transactions
- The remote capture component of the Gateway enables transactions and images to be sent to the Gateway Server in JMS messages. The messages are generated by ATM or Branch Teller systems and sent to a MQ Series Queue, where they are accessed by the Gateway Server.
