Exception List

The Message Center page displays exceptions and investigations for payment transactions that require remediation or review. This page provides a centralized location for managing transaction exceptions, allowing users to lock, unlock and allow to access payment details where user can perform actions on the payment.

Exception Category Tiles

The visual status tiles at the top of the page show the count of exceptions in each category. Click a tile to filter the table to that category, and click it again to clear the filter.

Columns

Column Name Description
Lock Status Visual indicator showing whether the transaction is locked. Displays a lock icon with tooltip information about who locked the transaction. This column is always visible when scrolling horizontally (sticky column).
Exception category The category name of the exception that requires attention. Used to classify different types of exceptions for easier management and filtering.
Transaction Id A unique identifier for the payment transaction. Displayed as a clickable link that navigates to the transaction detail page in repair mode.
Payment direction Indicates whether the transaction is inbound or outbound. Displayed with directional icons for quick visual recognition.
Outbound message type The ISO20022 message type used for the outbound payment (e.g., pain.001).
Inbound message type The ISO20022 message type used for the inbound payment (e.g., pacs.008).
Payment status The current status of the payment transaction.
Sub status Additional status information providing more detail about the payment state.
Requested execution date The date when the transaction was requested to be processed.
Debit account The internal account number from which funds are debited.
Credit account The internal account number to which funds are credited.
Debit value date The value date for the debit side of the transaction.
Credit value date The value date for the credit side of the transaction.
Debit amount The amount debited, displayed in the transaction currency with proper formatting.
Credit amount The amount credited, displayed in the transfer currency with proper formatting.
Transfer currency The currency code used for the transfer amount (three-character ISO code).
Market product The financial product or service associated with the transaction.
FTM Transaction Id The internal FTM system transaction identifier.
Current amount The current transaction amount in the transaction's currency.
Transfer amount The amount after currency conversion, displayed in the transfer currency.
On us/Transit Indicates whether the transaction is on-us (internal to the institution) or transit (external).
Debtor account The account number of the party initiating the payment (debtor).
Creditor account The account number of the party receiving the payment (creditor).
Inbound amount The original amount received before any conversions or adjustments.
Inbound currency The currency in which the transaction was originally received (three-character ISO code).
Currency The primary currency code for the transaction.
Debtor agent The financial institution representing the debtor (originating institution).
Creditor agent The financial institution representing the creditor (receiving institution).
Inbound instructing agent The financial institution that instructed the inbound payment.
Outbound instructing agent The financial institution that instructs the outbound payment.
Outbound instructed agent The financial institution that receives the outbound payment instruction.
Endpoint Id The endpoint identifier assigned to the transaction for routing purposes.
Business date The business date on which the transaction is being processed.
UETR Unique End-to-End Transaction Reference - a unique identifier for tracking the payment through its lifecycle (ISO20022 standard).
Remediation Invocation Id Internal identifier for the remediation workflow instance. Used to track the exception handling process.
Instruction Id The instruction identifier from the payment message.
Message Id The unique identifier of the payment message.
Created The date and time when the exception record was created, displayed with seconds precision.
Payment priority The priority level assigned to the payment for processing order.
Ownership The ownership unit or organizational entity responsible for the transaction.
Locked by The user ID of the person who currently has the transaction locked for remediation.
Disposition The current disposition or resolution status of the exception.
Note:
  • All amount columns are automatically formatted with the appropriate currency symbol and locale-specific number formatting.
  • Date columns are formatted according to the user's locale and timezone settings.
  • The Transaction Id column is clickable and opens the transaction in repair mode.
  • The Lock Status column is a fixed-width column that cannot be resized.
  • Columns can be shown or hidden using the customize columns action in the table toolbar.

Actions

The actions available on the manage outbound products page are:
  • Open documentation displays the help page.
  • Build query displays conditions to filter records.
  • Filter column displays the build filter link that you can use to create a filter for the columns on the page.
  • Search entry field. Typing text in this field automatically filters the inbound transactions that are displayed in the table. The table displays only those inbound transactions that match what was typed in the search field.
  • Refresh, which looks like a circular arrow, refreshes the list of records to show any new records or updates that were made to existing records.
  • Download CSV saves the displayed table view as a .csv file.
  • Show more text in table cells (up to 50 lines) shows up to 50 lines of text in a single table cell. The default is to show 5 lines. You can set the table view to either 50 lines or 5 lines at a time.
  • Show less text in table cells for easier reading (up to 5 lines) shows a maximum of 5 lines of text in a single table cell. You can set the table view to either 50 lines or 5 lines at a time.
  • Customize columns displays a page to select which columns are shown or hidden on the page.
  • Row settings configures the size and the spacing of the text that is displayed in the cells of the table.
  • When you select one or more rows, a menu appears with:
    Lock and View locks all selected transactions and opens them in batch view mode. This allows you to work on multiple related exceptions together. The system:
    1. Attempts to lock each selected transaction for the current user.
    2. Navigates to the transaction detail page with all selected transaction IDs.
    3. Opens the transactions in repair mode using the ISO20022 schema.
    4. Only transactions not locked by other users can be selected.
  • Lock secures the transaction for your exclusive use. When you lock a transaction:
    1. Other users cannot modify it.
    2. A lock icon appears in the Lock Status column.
    3. You can perform remediation actions.
    4. Only available for unlocked transactions.
  • Unlock releases your lock on the transaction. When you unlock:
    1. The transaction becomes available for other users.
    2. The lock icon is removed.
    3. You can no longer modify it without re-locking.
    4. Only available for transactions you have locked.
  • Force Lock overrides another user's lock to take control of the transaction. Use this when:
    1. A transaction is locked by another user who is unavailable.
    2. Urgent remediation is needed.
    3. Requires special Override existing lock permissions.
    4. Row Click anywhere on a row (except the overflow menu) to navigate to the transaction detail page in repair mode for full transaction information and remediation options.
  • Force Unlock removes another user's lock without taking ownership. Use this when:
    1. Free up transactions locked by unavailable users.
    2. Allow other users to work on the transaction.
    3. Requires special Override existing lock permissions.
