Billing Code Assignment

Billing code assignment determines the billing code to associate with each transaction and batch. The information is later used by Billing to charge clients for the work that is processed for them.

Billing code assignment requires:

Product code
Billing code prefix
Billing tier prefix

These values are determined by the business day assignment workflow, as well as the transaction routing transit number and amount, which are input data from the transmission being ingested.
