Release Trackables
The Distribution engine can be configured to use the Transaction Server’s trackable database when releasing transmissions. If the transmission property called create release trackable is set to true, the Distribution engine creates a trackable entry for the transmission before it is copied to the release location or the message is placed on the queue for the broker. The application receiving the transmission, Gateway for instance, can complete the trackable when it receives the transmission. The Gateway is configured to automatically complete a trackable, if one is set, for the outbound transmission it receives. The sample Distribution broker workflow shows how to complete a trackable when broker is performing the mapping and routing. When the trackable is created by the Distribution engine, it sets the expected by date on the trackable to the current time, plus the time interval specified in the transmission property called release trackable interval.
