Locking

When an operator begins working on a payment, the system locks that payment to the operator’s user ID. The automatic lock management of these locked payments may cause unexpected results. This lock management prevents items from staying locked to an operator who does not complete the repairs promptly, such as when a system crash interrupts the session. Some scenarios that lead to automatic lock management are:
  • A user receives a list of payments to operate but logs out before operating them. In this situation, the payments are released automatically as part of the log out processing.
  • An administrator deactivates the priority control configuration while users are repairing payments. The system immediately unlocks all payments for all users in the system.
