Decision

The decision interface enables the caller to send a data payload to the Business Rules Server and receive a response payload. On the sorter, the decision request is associated with the document event. Implementation of each of the API versions is different, but the mechanics and the results are the same. The request from the client is a series of one or more fields. Each field contains a header and data. After the request returns, the calling application accesses the response data, interprets it, and acts accordingly.
