Installing the sample dashboards

Before you install the sample dashboards, ensure that the minimum level of IBM® Cognos® Analytics is installed. For more information about the level that is needed, see FTM Hardware and Software requirements. Also, ensure that all of the prerequisites that are needed by IBM Cognos Analytics are installed. For more information about the prerequisites for Cognos Analytics, see its product documentation.

Two dashboard archive files are provided by FTM. They can be found in the following compressed file: <installation directory>\multiplatform\FXH_Cognos_Dashboard_Samples.zip.
  • The FTMBase_Dashboard_Samples.zip archive contains the FTMBase System Management Dashboard. This dashboard provides insight into payment transactions (MASTER transactions only) and their various attributes such as sender, receiver, channel, status, status update delays, and more. Data for this dashboard is limited to the current day only.
  • The FTMBase_Trending_Dashboard_Samples.zip archive contains the FTMBase Trending dashboard. This dashboard is similar to the FTMBase System Management Dashboard, except that it contains all the data in the system. It is used to look at long-term trends for the payment transactions and their attributes.

Use the IBM Cognos Administration web portal to import the dashboard archives into your IBM Cognos environment. For more information about importing the dashboard, see Importing a Deployment Archive.

If you choose to deploy the dashboard archives to the default location within IBM Cognos, they are available in the Team Content folder on the main IBM Cognos Web Portal.

The following sections describe the contents for each dashboard archive.
