The following list shows the different middleware and Common Services components that have
security information that is related to the infrastructure security category.
- Communication
- Common Services communicates in many different ways, such as with its internal components, middleware, and other applications.
- File system
- You might want to further restrict the file permissions for the files used by Common Services. Default file permissions were set when Common Services was installed.
- IBM® MQ
- Queues can be used to send financial data in Common Services.
- Web browser
- Browser sessions are used for the Common Services components and WebSphere® Application Server.
- WebSphere Application Server
- Set up security for WebSphere Application Server because most of the Common Services components are deployed in WebSphere Application Server.
