Segments in error state

When an X9 transmission is built, the Distribution engine moves any segments in the error state to a new transmission. This behavior allows the segments that were built correctly to be sent to the participant while the segments that are in error are corrected.

For example, transmission A contains the following segments:
  • Segment 1
  • Segment 2
  • Segment 3
If Segment 2 is in the error state, Segments 1 and 3 are included in transmission A and sent. Segment 2 is moved to a new transmission. However, if all the segments are in the error state, the transmission goes into a build error state and is not sent to the participant.
