Publish/subscribe
System notification messages from TCH are sent in various situations, and are addressed by different FI applications.
- Change of system status (Event 971)
- Participant suspended (Event 972)
- Prefunded balance below/above High Watermark threshold (Event 993)
- Prefunded balance insufficient (Event 994)
- System-wide maximum permitted amount changed (Event 976)
For allowing other applications to process the messages, they might get a subscription to those system notification messages. Since the TCH connector can be configured to publish all received system notification messages to a IBM® MQ topic, as many subscribers to the topic as required can get a copy of those messages.
For a cash management application, messages about the prefunded balance low/high/insufficient status TCH sends are received, and information about other participants is ignored. Alternatively, channel control programs might want temporarily change their behavior when TCH notifies the FI about the unavailability of other RTPS members.
