Creating the range key

You can create a new range configuration to be added for the selected environment by using the create range key page. The system does not limit the number of range keys that can be added for the selected environment and table. You can enter as many range keys as needed but too many range configurations can affect the performance of the application.

For a table, multiple range keys can be selected to form a composite key. Press Ctrl+Select to select multiple items. Only one composite key can be defined for a table.

Actions

The actions that are available on the page are shown in the following list.

Open documentation opens the help page.
Table name displays the tables to choose from. When you select a table name, the list of associated keys are refreshed automatically.
Select the Low range key and the High range key.
Save saves the range key and returns to the range configurations page.
Cancel returns to the range configurations page. All unsaved changes are lost.
