Endpoints
Administrative return endpoints are configured like any other endpoint.
The configuration options that indicate how the administrative returns
transmissions are built are:
- Returns Indicator
- Must be set to E. Usually, Distribution includes just the non-exception transactions when building outbound transmissions. If the endpoint is configured with an E return indicator, the exception and non-exception transactions assigned to the endpoint are included in the outbound transmission.
- Sending Point Routing Transit
- Normally, the sending point routing transit number used for the outbound transmission in type 10, type 20, type 26, and type 32 records is the routing number of the bank. If the sending point routing transit number is configured for the endpoint, Distribution uses that value when building the outbound transmission. If it is not configured in the endpoint, Distribution uses the sending point routing transit value from the transmission definition if it is configured.
