Duplicate Detection

Gateway provides the ability to detect duplicate transmissions, batches (ICLs), and bundles:
  • duplicate transmissions, batches (ICLs), and bundles can be detected
  • duplicate transmissions and bundles can be detected without performing duplicate batch (ICL) detection
  • duplicate batches (ICLs) and duplicate bundles can be detected without performing duplicate transmission detection
The user can configure any combination of duplicate detection for transmissions, batches (ICLs), and bundles. This provides a solution where the detection of duplicate transmissions, batches (ICLs), and bundles is completely independent.

When duplicate detection is enabled, additional duplicate detection functionality is available from the Transaction Server user interface. Specifically, when an inbound transmission or batch (ICL) is overridden and duplicate detection is enabled, the Transaction Server user interface performs duplicate detection to verify that the inbound transmission or batch (ICL) being overridden is not a duplicate. For more information about overriding inbound transmissions and batches (ICLs) with and without duplicate detection, see Transaction Server User's Guide.
