Overview

The Control Center is a web application that is used to monitor and control the various financial manager services and features. These features include users, participants, payments, and various system and component properties.

Using the Control Center

The servers that Control Center monitors and controls include the following Common Services servers.

Gateway Server (or Gateway)
Transaction Server

These servers are in a network and should be monitored and controlled from a central location. The Control Center is distributed as an enterprise application resource that is installed on WebSphere® Application Server and then accessed with a common web browser.

This Common Services base component provides the following functions.

More database tables for supporting validation configuration.
Sample reports for the Image Compliance rules, TIFF rules, and MICR repair customers.
An import tool for importing participant configuration data.

The Distribution console web application consists of the Control Center user interface web application, with the Distribution web application added to it. When installing Distribution, first the core web application and its database is installed and then the Distribution web application and its database component. Control Center provides an environment with a security model and other services that Distribution uses. Other components can be added to Control Center in a similar manner.
