The darkness element is present for black and white images with acceptable dimension and compressed data size test results. It contains the following parts:
raw
Raw contains a floating point number representing the black pixel density of the image.
score
The score element contains a floating point number between 0 and 10 (inclusive). This value is the Image Compliance estimate of the likelihood the image is too dark.
Note: The score element is not used to determine the overall score of the image. It is included mainly for compatibility with Image Compliance The lightscore and darkscore results are the only scores which influence the overall score of the image.
lightscore
Lightscore contains a floating point number between 0 and 10 (inclusive). This value is the Image Compliance estimate of the likelihood the image is too light. A 10 indicates the image passes the toolight test and is good. A 0 indicates the image fails this test and is too light. Values in between 0 and 10 indicate the lightness is marginal and the image may be too light.
Note: The scoring for this element is derived from the profile settings for the black-white darkness low values.
darkscore
Darkscore contains a floating point number between 0 and 10 (inclusive). This value is the Image Compliance estimate of the likelihood the image is too dark. A 10 indicates the image passes the toodark test and is good. A 0 indicates the image fails this test and is too dark. Values in between 0 and 10 indicate the darkness is marginal and the image may be too dark.
Note: The scoring for this element is derived from the profile settings for the black-white darkness high values.
