The following figure shows the state diagram for the inbound expected message.

Life cycle Point State Description
S1 Transaction Mapped Initial state.
S2 Transaction Validating Transient state that indicates validation is in progress.
S3 Transaction Complete Indicates that the payment transaction is finished. This is its final state.

Once the basic lifecycle diagrams are complete, the FTM FSM Model can be developed using the Rational® tooling.
