Using a Transmission ID

Specifying a transmission ID is the preferred method of initiating a manual task. However, a valid ID must be determined and entered in order to locate a transmission.

Control Center pages can be used to find the transmission ID. Ensure that the transmission ID is used and not the batch (ICL) ID.

To run a manual transmission acknowledgment task using the transmission ID, enter a value in the transmission ID field. When the ID is entered, click Run Task. The transmission acknowledgment task locates the transmission and builds the artifacts. When the artifacts are delivered to the Gateway outgoing directory, they are processed normally.

If the transmission ID is not located in the system, an error message is issued:

Could not locate the transmission using the information entered.
Try again using different parameter inputs.

Note: If a transmission ID is entered in the manual task invocation, the other parameters are ignored.
