FTM Deployment Utility

The deployment utility allows the user to deploy the IBM® App Connect Enterprise applications to a target computer. The target computer is the computer on which the utility is running. The deployment utility only performs the deployment operations. The deployment parameter information (token) files used by the deployment utility must be created using the ADU Token File Wizard first.
Note:
  • The format of any existing token files must be updated before using them to deploy the IBM App Connect Enterprise applications. Use only the ADU token file wizard that is installed with the FTM deployment utility to update or create the token files used to deploy the applications in that installation. Do not use it to create the token files to deploy different versions of the applications or applications from different installations.
  • Use the Automated deployment utility to deploy to WebSphere® Application Server or perform a manual deployment.
The deployment utility requires:
  • Java™ runtime environment (JRE) to be defined in the system path of the computer where the deployment utility is located
  • Access to the FTM for ACH/CPS home directory where the components are installed
  • A deployment token file that contains information to deploy the components
The deployment utility executes on any operating system supported by Payment Feature Services. It has the following modes of operation:
  • Interactive - the user is prompted for information
  • Batch- all necessary information is passed to the utility using the command line call to start it
