ADU Token File Wizard
The ADU Token File Wizard is used to create the deployment parameter information (token) file that is used by the Automated deployment utility and FTM Deployment Utility to deploy the components of Payment Feature Services. It can also create a YAML file that you can use to deploy your FTM solution.
- Supply the information that is common to all the components.
- Select the components to be deployed.
- Provide the information that is needed for the components selected.
Deployment parameter information (token) file contents
A token file that the ADU token file wizard creates contains the minimum number of tokens that are needed to support deployment of the reference implementation and other similar environments. When you do not select all the components to be deployed, deployment information is not requested for the unselected components and is not written to the token file. A smaller token file results in fewer parameter information fields required, a simpler file format, and less data to maintain and protect.
Deployment parameter YAML file contents
The YAML file that the ADU token file wizard creates contains the customer resource definition (CRD) that supports the deployment of your FTM solution. You can edit the CRD to include any additional information. For more information about the parameters that you can use, see Configuration parameters for the FTM solutions.
Versions and migration
Use only the ADU token file wizard that was installed with the components to be deployed to create the token file for deploying those components. Do not use it to create the token files to deploy different versions of the components or to deploy components from different installations. The automated deployment utility (ADU) displays an error and does not do the deployment when the version of the token file and the version of the components to be deployed do not match.
Token files that were created to deploy a prior version of Payment Feature Services components must be updated before they are used with a later version. To update an existing token file, upload it to the ADU token file wizard provided with the later version of Payment Feature Services. To avoid inadvertently losing the token values from a previous deployment configuration, use a new name when you save the new token file.
